Management Structure

The event will be led by the Directorate of Development, Planning, and International Relations, within which there is a specific area of ​​International Relations and a Communication area that works in a coordinated way. The management structure which will be in charge of conducting the Conference is made up of the General Secretary as the Head of the local Organising Committee. The Organising Committee will be also made up of the Director of Administration, the Director of Development, Planning and International Relations, the Responsible of International Relations Area and the Responsible of Institutional Communication Area. For the Regional Network, the Executive Secretary of SIACES will be invited for providing a regional perspective.

The application document should set out the management and administrative structure which the hosts will make available in preparing for and in the administration of the INQAAHE Conference. In particular, clear lines of responsibility should be specified. Should there be more than one agency involved in the bid, the membership of the local organising committee should be described. In all organisation matters, the host agency via a single appointed representative will report on a regular basis to the INQAAHE Secretariat.

The technical team is made up of professionals with knowledge about the evaluation processes carried out by CONEAU (some have worked as Evaluation and Accreditation technicians), and with training and knowledge relevant to the specific tasks carried out in this Directorate. As a result, this Directorate has technical graduates in disciplinary areas related to this Directorate, such as International Relations, Social Communication and Public Relations, or with training for the specific tasks developed in the area.

The Dictatorate of Development, Planning and International Relations has broad experience organising international events of different scales. As a remarkable event, it can be mentioned that in 2008 it hosted the INQAAHE Member Forum. In 2015, It also organised the International Seminar “Experiences and Perspectives of University Evaluation and Accreditation in Ibero-America” which received more than 200 attendees from different countries of the region. Likewise, it has an extensive background in organising Peer Training Workshops for the ARCUSUR System, Plenary meetings of the Network of National Accreditation Agencies of MERCOSUR (RANA), and other specific events within ERASMUS+ projects, and cooperation activities with similar QA entities.

Recently, in 2022, CONEAU hosted the Plenary Annual Meeting of SIACES, in the exercise of its Presidency. In the meeting, ENQA authorities were received as part of our cooperation activities.

Outside the international arena, CONEAU has vast experience in organising events on a national scale, with wide participation of the system through its Training School. All these activities have been organised and conducted by the Directorate of Development, Planning, and International Relations.
Furthermore, the Dictatorate of Administration, through its Director, will be in charge of all administrative aspects to guarantee the success of the event.

If necessary, specific human resources should be contracted to insure the proper organisation of the Conference, and volunteers from other areas of the agency will be encouraged.
Furthermore, SIACES will contribute to the organisation through its human resources to encourage and promote participation in the Ibero-American Region.Assigning adequate administrative support to the organization and management of the INQAAHE Conference is of paramount importance to guarantee a successful event. Applications should, therefore, outline the staffing and other resources which will be made available to insure a well-organized event. The application should outline the support that will be made available both before and during the event with regards to handling registrations and other aspects of organisation.

Prior to the event, the agency should communicate regarding its staffing capacity to conduct the preparations for hosting, including visa assistance, payment and registration processing, marketing and website development, and other promotion and planning.

For the period during the event, the agency should communicate regarding its staffing plan (staff, contractors, volunteers) to register and assist attendees, run technologies, and ensure attendees find events in a timely manner. Back-office facilities where event management can occur should be available to the host staff and the INQAAHE Secretariat.
